Title: My Pet Fish

Some people think that fish are just cold-blooded. I disagree. Let me tell you about the fish that changed my mind. A friend gave me a plant with a fish swimming at the bottome of a glass jar. It was a Japanese Man-of-War. Boy was it pretty! Every week I would feed my fish and change the water. The fish seemed to know me when I came to its glass home. At Christmas I tried to change its water in the sink. It was over our garbage disposal because the other side of the sink was filled with dishes that I did not want to wash. All of a sudden as I was trying to get the old water out, my fish whom I had named Ebby slipped out of the jar into the garbage disposal. I freaked out! I tried putting my hand down the disposal, but I was not able to save my new friend. I thought I heard him making fish cries. Perhaps it was my own tears and sobs that I heard. I'll never forget my wonderful friend.
