Title: The Three Challenges (chapter 3)
They fell asleep and there dream turned into some sort of
weird game. They were on a boat and they were alone. They were sailing on the surface of the water yet they could still breathe. They found themselves floating down a small cave, which was dark and slimy. It seemed to have a laughing sound echoing around it. They reached the end of the cave on siting on a rock was a serpent. He was licking his lips and laughing. He then spoke in a very eerie way “You have reached my cave and now must answer me the riddle I give you. If you answer correctly you shall be set free with food and drink. If not you shall stay with me and go crazy from loneliness and perish in this cave. Now who is going to take the riddle? Chose wisely.” Bill, Sparky and Bate were all shivering in their scales and had a pale face with no expression at all. “I’ll do it,” said Mulga in a quiet nevus voice. “Ok then,
Voiceless it cries,
Wingless it flutters,
Toothless it bites,
Mouthles mutters.
Mulga thought but just could not think of the answer when suddenly it clicked. “Wind” he cried! And the answer was correct. The Serpent was angry and hesitated as he pointed his finger and ping they were all laying on the oceans floor just as they were before. Next to each of them lay a bag full of lovely food and drink.
