Dear dairy,
After two day’s in the plane were finally in Darwin. It’s 4:30 in the morning and I just woke up as the plane landed. Mum said she’s famished so where at a little café at the airport. I’m surprised it’s open. After mum eats we are going to are new house by a CAB. I think that’s what they call it in Aus. (I have to start using slang and apreviated words now that I’m in Aus cause everyone else does.) There’s not much happening round ere I guess that’s cause it’s 4:47 in the morning. Have to go now mum’s getting up to go to our new house, I wonder what it’s like?
Where at our new house now. It looks like something that’s been bombed a couple of times. Here let me describe it: It’s got long grass and no plant’s or tree’s in the garden, the weather boards need another lick of paint, the roof tiles have got mold all over them, (Maybe that’s a fashion cause all down this street theirs mold on the roofs. Big change from England!) And there’s a broken glass on the top left window. (It’s a two-story.) Mum’s looking round with her mouth gaping with disbelief and Chrissy and Darren are already at the door, waiting to get inside to pick their rooms.

Dear dairy,
Well after we got inside it was as bad as the front. Mum rang up the real estate agent and started arguing about how much she paid and how appalling the house was and etc, etc.
My rooms on the top level and it’s the only room except for the bathroom. I finished unpacking and I saw a mouse and you how scared I am of mice. Any way I caused a big scene and mum covered the whole house with Mortine. Tomorrow we’ re looking for a new school so mum say’s to have an early night so later diary.

Dear dairy,
Sorry I haven’t written these last few days, I been really tired from school and exploring and homework, it’s all just to much. But guess what everyone likes me at my new school. Its called Sacre Coeur! The teacher’s love me the student’s love me it’s wonderful! And to top it all of we’re going on a holiday in two days to another part of Darwin somewhere. See ya later.
