Title: The Oogleburger Part Two
' Really?' I asked weakly.
I had never seen a girl so pretty. She had long, raven-black hair and blue eyes. She was a little taller then me, but not much.
' Yup,' She answered. ' Grandpa!' She bent over and whispered something into the old man's ear. His shocking blue eyes moved.
Suddenly, he jerked his head up, causing his white hair to fly around. ' Check your Metro Detroit Ford Dealer, think Ford First!'
' Grandpa!' The girl scolded. Her grandpa jumped away from the counter and ran into the kitchen.
' That was wierd,' I said. ' We don't live anywhere near Detroit!'
' We come from far away,' The girl said. ' He is still learning English. Any commercial he sees, he repeats.'
' Where did you come from?'
' We came from a place called Yoodle. Me, my mom, my dad, my four brothers, nine sisters, twenty-nine cousins, and my grandpa.'
' How. Talk about a big family. What did you get, your own plane?'
' Not really, but we flew.'
I nodded my head. ' What's your name?'
' Phrame. Phrame Sood.'
' I've never heard of a name like that.'
' Most people haven't. What's your name?'
' My name is Nathan. Nathan Brighten.'
She reached her hand over the counter. ' Pleased to meet you, Nathan Brighten.'
I shook her hand. ' Nice to meet YOU, Phrame Sood.'
She smiled, and I smiled back.
