Title: The Oogleburger Part Four
There was silence. The I burst out laughing. ' Phrame, your grandfather has been watching too much TV! Yoodle? Who ever heard of a planet named 'Yoodle?''
' We have,' The grandfather shouted. ' I've lived there for the past two thousand and forty years of my life!'
' You really ARE old, then,' I laughed.
' He's serious,' Phrame whispered. I looked at her. Her face was strange. It looked like she was recalling something.
' We came here a month ago, like I said. We, my family, that is, heard that Earth was an unexplored land, filled with useful things. When we got here, the Laughing Virus hit. We don't know how, but we think it started with us.'
' Yeah, the virus wasn't too bad anyway.'
' not yet, it isn't. My father is a bioligist. He says that the virus has not yet reached it's peak. Once it reaches it's hieght...' She pulled out a flaslight. I snickered.
Without warning, all the lights went out. Phrame flipped the flashlight on. But instead of just light, it showed light and a little image that looked like a human.
' A normal human,' She said. ' A human with the Luaghing Virus.' The figure began laughing. And laughing. And laughing.
' A human who has had the laughing virus for three years.' The image began to change. The man grew silent. His legs stuck together. He stretched out. He started winding around himself, into a huge loop.
' Oh my gosh,' I whispered. ' He's turning into a...'
' A smoodleburger,' the old man said. I had forgotten that he was there. ' The exact opposite of an oogleburger. Now do you believe me when I say we're from another planet?'
I didn't gulp. ' Yeah, I guess so. My question is, why did you tell me to eat the oogleburger?'
The grandfather just glared, but Phrame said, ' The oogleburger is the only cure for the Laughing Virus. If you eat an oogleburger, you can never get the laughing virus.'
