Title: Days in Rain
I sat ouside watching the rain fall from the roof on to my hair covered head. The sky was white. It wasn't storming, though. I hated storms. But rain was really one of my things. It was 6:00 at night. I decided to go in and eat supper. 'Sweetie, remember, you have to clean your room,' said Ma. 'I know Ma. I always have to,' I replied. 'After supper, go and do that, alright, sugar?' 'Okay, Ma, I will,' I ate supper quickly, and I went to my sister and I's room. I cleaned my half. Carry got to clean the other half. Even if she was only five. It wouldn't be fair if I had to clean her half. I was twelve. I should get some fairness, too. I went into the kitchen to help Ma clean the dishes. I cleaned the rest, while she washed up Carry. It was my turn, next. Carry finally got done, and I went in happily and took my wash. I was all squeaky clean, so I decided to go to bed early. I wanted to get up early tomorrow. So, I did. The next morning I woke up at 7:30 in the morning. I went outside right after I got dressed. It was a very sunny morning, very warm and grand. I was excited because since it was sunny, I could go swimming with Carry when she got up. Then, she did at 8:00. 'Ann!' She yelled at me. 'Come on let's go outside now.' 'I'm coming, I'm coming!' I yelled back. But then Ma said, 'Nope. You girls have to eat breakfast first.' She put our plates in front of us. We ate it, disappointed, and charged rapidly outside. We jumped in the river. It was cold! We were frozen for some time, but we finally got used to the water. At about noon, Ma called us back in to eat lunch. We ate lunch, and then we took a long nap. I woke up at about 3:00 in the afternoon. Carry and I ate a snack. We decided to play with Johnny, our little three year old brother. We played Patty Cake with him. Also, Ring Around The Rosie. Johnny laghed delightfully everytime we fell down! He was such a pleasure to be around. Me and Carry decided to go outside without Johnny to play. That afternoon, the prairie grass smelled sweet and warm. I loved the smell of the prairie. Idecided to lie down and watch the clouds. I accidently fell into a nap, though. I had a wonderful dream. I dreamed of rain.
